Project
OpenGPT-X develops and trains large AI language models “Made in Germany”, which are characterised by versatility, trustworthiness, multilinguality and openness (open source).
With the unique expertise of project partners representing the entire generative AI value chain, OpenGPT-X aims to advance cutting-edge research while maintaining a strong commitment to business applications to drive the adoption of generative AI in the German economy. The collaborative effort across industry, research and media is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) from January 2022 to December 2024.
