Welcome to our “Workbook” on large AI language models

The LLM Workbook is a three-part reference guide with resources and examples to get to know and understand the key features of large AI language models (LLMs), such as those being developed in the OpenGPT-X project.

The purpose of the LLM Workbook is to provide interested laypeople with an entry point into the project’s efforts to develop large multilingual AI language models. We also want to specifically address potential users and reduce uncertainties about this technology, make it more tangible and provide concrete impulses for further exploration.

The Workbook addresses three fundamental questions:
1. What are large AI language models and how do they work?
2. What are the benefits of large AI language models for industrial applications?
3. What are the risks and limitations of implementing and using large AI language models?
